For many of the mothers in the families we've helped, part of the answer is a sewing machine and a growing skill.
We started the Proverbs 31 Women's Sewing Ministry to train the wives of freed workers in tailoring — cutting, sewing, and finishing clothing they can sell. It's steady, dignified work that doesn't depend on a brick kiln, and it puts a stable second income into a household still finding its footing after years of debt bondage.
