From a Dusty Street Corner to a Mission of Freedom

Mahnoor was only three years old when her father left her sitting on a street corner in a rural village in Pakistan.

She remembers watching him walk away into the haze of a dust storm.

She stood there alone all day waiting for him to return.

At three years old, she could not understand why he was leaving or what would happen next. She only knew that the person who was supposed to protect her was disappearing into the dust—and she had no idea whether he would return.

Eventually, a Christian family took Mahnoor into their home. They gave her something that changed the course of her life: a family, faith, and an education.

Today, Mahnoor is an adult, but she has never forgotten that little girl standing alone on the corner.

And she has devoted her heart and energy to children who face futures that could have been her own.
